15th September 2024

From September 9th to 14th, the city of Stralsund, Germany, hosted the 15th Conference of the European Wildlife Disease Association (EWDA). This international event brought together wildlife disease experts from across Europe to discuss the latest research and findings in the field.

The OneBAT project had the opportunity to take part in this prestigious conference, thanks to the participation of two representatives from the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe). Francesca Festa and Stefania Leopardi played key roles in showcasing the OneBAT project during the event.

Francesca Festa took the stage to present the project to the audience, providing an in-depth look at the innovative approaches and significant objectives driving OneBAT. Her presentation was met with great interest from the international community of researchers and professionals in attendance.

In addition to the oral presentation, Stefania Leopardi contributed by displaying the project’s poster. This visual representation of OneBAT’s goals and achievements allowed attendees to engage further with the details of the project.

The EWDA conference was an excellent dissemination opportunity for OneBAT, enabling it to gain visibility among leading experts in wildlife disease management and foster valuable connections for future collaborations.

Below are some photos from the event, showcasing both Francesca Festa’s presentation and Stefania Leopardi with the OneBAT project poster.
