Laurent Dacheux from Institut Pasteur, a partner in the OneBAT project, was recently interviewed on the French radio programme “La Terre au carré” on France Inter, hosted by Mathieu Vidard.

During the interview, Laurent discussed research on bats and viruses, highlighting the activities carried out by the ERI-CIBU unit at Institut Pasteur, from field sampling and bat capture to laboratory analyses.

The interview also provided an opportunity to highlight the collaborative nature of this research and the contribution of the OneBAT project, which brings together European partners to advance knowledge on bat-borne viruses and their potential transmission at the animal-human interface.

Laurent also acknowledged the work of his colleagues Lucie Cappuccio, Victoire Perraud and Angela Brisebarre, actively involved in bat research at Institut Pasteur.

The interview represents another valuable opportunity to bring OneBAT-related research to a wider audience and raise awareness of the importance of studying bats and viruses through a One Health perspective.
