On 3 September 2025, the OneBAT project was represented at the international conference Emerging Viruses 2025 – OneHealth: Virology at Oxford, held at St Edmund Hall, Oxford (UK).
Two of our consortium partners contributed to the scientific programme:

Dr Simon Scott (University of Kent, UK) presented “The European OneBAT project – a halftime update”, highlighting the progress achieved so far.

Dr Gabor Kemenesi (University of Pécs, Hungary) gave a talk on “Lesser known and rare zoonotic viruses”, sharing insights into emerging risks and their relevance for OneHealth.
Their contributions helped showcase OneBAT’s role in advancing research on bat-borne viruses and zoonotic threats at the European level.
