We are proud to announce that key members of the OneBAT project participated as co-chairs at the Emerging Viruses Symposium, held on September 4, 2024, in Oxford, UK. The symposium was a hybrid ‘virtual-in-person’ event that brought together leading experts in virology and related fields to discuss applied research on emerging viruses, with a focus on surveillance and control strategies.
Professor Nigel Temperton, Dr. Simon Scott, and Dr. Edward Wright served as co-chairs during the event. Their contributions helped guide discussions and facilitated meaningful exchanges between experts and early-career researchers.
During the symposium, the team presented the OneBAT project to an audience of virologists and researchers. This was an important opportunity for the dissemination of the project’s goals and findings to a broad scientific community.
