The primary objective of OneBAT is to investigate the trigger for viral spillover from European bats to humans or domestic animals, focusing on Miniopterus schreibersii bats and high-consequence pathogens (filoviruses, coronaviruses, lyssaviruses) to advance our understanding and develop therapeutic tools for Disease X, while establishing a methodological platform for ecological and virological investigations.
